THE BIBLE SPEAKS DAILY (NOVEMBER 27TH, 2024)

TODAY'S TOPIC: YOU MUST REPAIR YOUR FAITH, BY THE WORD OF GOD.

TODAY'S VERSE: Acts 3:22-23 NKJV

"...For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your Brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people..."

"Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Winston Churchill, once said: I took a taxi one day to the BBC offices for an interview.
When I arrived, I asked the driver to wait for me for Forty Minutes until I 'll get back, but the driver apologized and said, "I can't, because I have to go home to listen to Winston Churchill's speech.
I was amazed and delighted with the man's desire to listen to my speech! So I took out 20 pounds and gave it to the taxi driver instead of 5 Pounds without telling him who I was. When the driver collected the money, he said: "I'll wait for hours until you come back sir! And let Churchill go to hell".
You can see how Principles have been modified in favour of Mammon; Nations were sold for Mammon; Honour sold for Mammon; Families split for Mammon; Friends separated for Mammon; People killed for Mammon; and people being made slaves for Mammon.
For how much are you ready to sell your values? (if you have any)?"

Have you traded the Word of God, for your own convenience also?
The Bible is the inspired Word of God:
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."  2 Timothy 3:16.
The Bible serves many purposes:

1. It is a store house of knowledge for people who would be free from sin.
Jesus said that truth would make us free (John 8:32).
Read this from Leslie Diestelkamp:
" Word of God misunderstood is no more helpful than the Word of God unknown!"
Because of the sins of past generations, the Bible is unknown to many. Sadly, the whole World is  rapidly moving into that direction. Because of the corruptions of religious doctrine, many are not free because they misunderstand its profound message!

2. The Bible is also a guide which shows Christians how to live:
"Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory" Psalm 73:24.
The Bible is God's counsel, and it is man's guide. He learns how to live as God wants him to live by reading the Bible. Most of the New Testament is used to outline the responsibilities of those who would serve God. Heaven is for those who obey the pattern of faith and practice, in the Testament of Christ.

3. The Bible is a statement of doctrine which is to be believed.
Paul said it is profitable for doctrine (2 Timothy 3:16). For those who would try to make a distinction between "faith" and "doctrine", read Acts 13:7-12 to show that several words were used interchangeably to refer to the same thing -- the Truth:
"...who was with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, an intelligent man. This man called for Barnabas and Saul and sought to hear the word of God
But Elymas the sorcerer (for so his name is translated) withstood them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith. Then Saul, who also is called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him and said, “O full of all deceit and all fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord?
And now, indeed, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a time.” And immediately a dark mist fell on him, and he went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand. Then the proconsul believed, when he saw what had been done, being astonished at the teaching of the Lord..." Acts 13:7-12.

4. The Bible, as Food and Water, nourishes us spiritually:
(a) "As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby" (1 Peter 2:2)
(b) "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that uses milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil" (Hebrew 5:12-14);
(c) "Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water" (John 4:10);
(d) "I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world" (John 6:51).
Be nourished! The Bible is the only source for this spiritual nourishment.

5. Man is a religious Being, and the Bible teaches him how to Worship God!
(a) He is to pray (Acts 2:42).
(b) He is to sing (Eph. 5:19).
(c) He is to observe the Lord's supper on the first day of every week (Acts 20:7).
(d) He is to give of his money on the first day of the week as he has been prospered (1 Cor. 16:2). And,
(e) He is to study God's Word, and this comes from teaching (Acts 20:7).
There is no other source provided by God to guide Man, faithfully, in the Worship except the Bible.

6. Man is a sinful Being, and the Bible teaches him how to be forgiven:
(a) He is told he must hear the Gospel and believe the same. (Romans 10:17; John 8:24).
(b) He must repent of his Sins (Luke 13:3; Acts 2:38; 17:30).
(c) He must confess his faith in Christ with his mouth, and from his heart (Matthew 10:32-33; Romans 10:10; Acts 8:37).
(d) He then must be immersed in water, as the Word of God directs (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; 22:16; Roman 6:3-4; Galatians 3:26-27; 1 Peter 3:21).
(e) Thereafter a man must be faithful until the time of his death (Rev. 2:10).
These are the things specified by the Bible which one must do to be saved.

7. Man is a suffering being so the Bible tells him about the Great Physician (Matthew 9:12-13).
a. The Word of God teaches us that God cares for us (1 Peter 5:7), and that
b. He will never leave us or forsake us, but will be a helper to us (Hebrew 13:5-6).
c. When the troubles of life beset us, the words of the Bible are to be used to comfort and console us (1 Thessalonians 4:18).

8. Because man is an intelligent Being, the Bible is presented to him to instruct him in the ways of righteousness.
God's Word identifies the good works which man must do (2 Timothy. 3:16-17; Ephesians 2:10; Titus 2:14).
No instruction we receive is as great as the instruction found in the Bible!

In Conclusion. the value of the Bible is in the things it can do for us, as outlined above.
Yet, the Bible can still do many things::
I. When we are weak, it supplies courage and strength.
II. It gives us occasions for joy, and comforts us when we are in sorrow.
III. When we are in despair, it gives hope. And,
IV. When it is time to die, it tells us about eternal life which is available to those who have served God.
V. Church built upon its precepts, pillars and foundation, is the Church of God.
VI. It's the Pilgrim's Staff.

Do you know of any other document or book about which all of these things could be said?
Is the Bible of any value to you?
What is your worth or value, judging yourself righteously with the Word of God. The Bible?
What is the worth or value of the Word of God to you? Judge the Word of God with its value in your Heart.
The Word of God is glorified by your obedience and dedication to its commands!

Read, Study, Meditate and Do the Will of God always.

TODAY'S PRAYER:
Everlasting Father of my Soul. I glorify your Holy Name.
Kindly rebuild my broken Faith.
Strengthen me to do Your Will always.
Father, restore me completely and thoroughly from my unbelief. Create a new Heart in me!
Make me to delight in Your Path of Life, for me.
Father, heal the Sick and provide for the Needy, among us.
AMEN!

This Is For The Living Only.

For The Living Only:  The Futility of Life. All men would like to be happy. The problem is that we are not quite sure what happiness is. At times we feel better than at other times. There are times when we feel great. But, even then we are not quite sure if this is all there is to happiness. It seems to be an elusive dream of total satisfaction, but it often stays just out of reach, leaving us feeling empty and dissatisfied. We want to find some significant reason to live and it seems to boil down to a few things. We imagine that these things must surely deliver on the promise for happiness, else so many people would not keep on seeking happiness in these things. To have a dream and then to pursue that dream seems to be the main reason for our existence. The dream is for riches, popularity, or prestige. To have other people acknowledging our importance is what life is all about, because we often have a hard time convincing ourselves that we are as important as we want o...

Since Death Is Certain And Real.

Please, read this heartily! "...Better to go to the house of mourning Than to go to the house of feasting, For that is the end of all men; And the living will take it to heart...." Ecclesiastics.7.2.nkjv. The way many people live, I wonder if they ever give serious thought to death and what will follow death. Man's physical body was made out of dust, and unto dust shall it return (Gen. 3:19). The soul (spirit) of man shall never die. "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment" (Heb. 9:27). Every person who dies shall come forth from the grave. "Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation" (Jn. 5:28-29). When a person dies, his body is returned to the ground but the soul goes either to "Abraham's bosom,...

What Is Debate (Christian Perspective)?

What Is Debate (Christian Perspective)? By Benson Omole. A Christian debate involves respectful biblical discussions, and arguments about Christian theology, doctrine, and practices. It's usefulness is immeasurable. Benefits: 1. Clarifying beliefs: Debate helps Christian devotees to articulate and understand the scriptural beliefs, and therefore measure the standards of their compliance or non-compliance! 2Tim. 2:15. 2. Understanding different perspectives:  Christian Debate exposes participants to various interpretations viewpoints, and several additions to the gospel of Christ. 2 John 1:9-11 3. Strengthening faith:  Engaging in debates can deepen one's understanding and conviction of the faith in the Way. 2 Cor. 13:5. 4. Evangelism and apologetics:  Debates can provide opportunities to share and defend Christian beliefs with others. 2 Tim. 4:2. Key Aspects: 1. Respectful dialogue:  Debates should be conducted in a respectful, peaceful and charitable man...
