There Is One Body

"There Is One Body..." Eph. 4:4a.
The Bible says “There is one body...” (Ephesians 4:4).
What is the one body?                                                     The book of Ephesians answers the question:
“And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”     (Eph. 1:22-23).
In Ephesians, Paul is teaching exactly the same thing the Lord Jesus Christ taught. Our Lord said He would build His church: "...I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it..." (Matthew 16:18).                                                                                 The church is His body.
Ephesians 4:4 tells us there is one church. It is built upon the one foundation which is Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:20; 1 Corinthians 3:11).
Jesus is the head of the church:
“For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church:and he is the saviour of the body” (Eph. 5:23).
The church is under the authority of Christ:
“Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.” (Eph. 5:24).
Jesus loves His body, the church, and died for it:
“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for it” (Eph 5:25).
Christians are members of the body of Christ, His church:
“For we are members of His body” (Eph. 5:30).
We are reconciled to God in the one body, the church of Christ:
“and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity” (Eph. 2:16).
We have unity in the body (Eph. 4:16). The church which is the body of Christ has a God-given mission which is to “make known the manifold wisdom of God” (Eph. 3:10).
Jesus is the Savior of the body (Eph. 5:23).
Therefore, if we are saved, we must be in His one body. The body of Christ, which is the church of Christ, was established in Jerusalem on the first Pentecost after the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (Isaiah 2:2, 3; Acts 2).
The church of Christ has Jesus Christ as its founder, builder, head, and Savior! It is the church of the New Testament.
We encourage you to find out more about the church of Christ.
Come and worship God with us.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God.
It is our only authority in all religious matters (2Timothy 3:16,17; Colossians 3:17).
We worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).     We are organized according to the pattern given in the New Testament. Christ is the head of the church (Colossians 1:18).
When local congregations have men who meet God’s qualifications, elders are appointed to oversee them (Acts 14:23; Philippians 1:1; 1Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9).
Deacons serve the physical needs of the church (ITimothy 3:8-13).
Evangelists and teachers preach and teach the Word of God (2 Timothy 4:1-5).
How does one become a member of the body of Christ?
One becomes a member by being added by the Lord (Acts 2:47).
The Lord adds one to His church when he has obeyed the gospel plan of salvation. This is how the Ephesians became members of the church. They were saved by God’s grace through their faith when they:                    1. Heard and believed the Gospel (Ephesians 2:8; 1:13); 2. Repented of their sins (Acts 20:21);                             3. Confessed their faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 19:18);     4. They were baptized into Christ   (Acts 19:1-5).
You today can become a member of the body of Christ by obeying the same gospel which the Ephesians obeyed.
In conclusion, Christ Jesus does not have many bodies, as some people will want you to believe! The structure of any living organism is One controlling Head, and only One Body of many parts. (Romans 12:5; 1Cor. 10:17).                                                                                 The BODY of Christ is made up of various individual Christian members. The BODY of Christ is not made up of different individual CHURCHES!!!
Membership of any other CHURCH which is not the BODY of CHRIST will result in calamity, and destruction, when JESUS comes back again to JUDGE the whole WORLD. (2Thess. 1:8-12; 2Peter 3:7).
Come today, to HIS VINEYARD, the only BODY recognised by the HEAVENLY authority!
You will only be added when you are willing to come to HIM. (Matt.11:28-30). You will be added by the same Lord to the same church, as the example of the early Christians we read in the Bible.
Why not do so today? Your salvation is in your hands.
Thanks.

This Is For The Living Only.

For The Living Only:  The Futility of Life. All men would like to be happy. The problem is that we are not quite sure what happiness is. At times we feel better than at other times. There are times when we feel great. But, even then we are not quite sure if this is all there is to happiness. It seems to be an elusive dream of total satisfaction, but it often stays just out of reach, leaving us feeling empty and dissatisfied. We want to find some significant reason to live and it seems to boil down to a few things. We imagine that these things must surely deliver on the promise for happiness, else so many people would not keep on seeking happiness in these things. To have a dream and then to pursue that dream seems to be the main reason for our existence. The dream is for riches, popularity, or prestige. To have other people acknowledging our importance is what life is all about, because we often have a hard time convincing ourselves that we are as important as we want o...

Since Death Is Certain And Real.

Please, read this heartily! "...Better to go to the house of mourning Than to go to the house of feasting, For that is the end of all men; And the living will take it to heart...." Ecclesiastics.7.2.nkjv. The way many people live, I wonder if they ever give serious thought to death and what will follow death. Man's physical body was made out of dust, and unto dust shall it return (Gen. 3:19). The soul (spirit) of man shall never die. "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment" (Heb. 9:27). Every person who dies shall come forth from the grave. "Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation" (Jn. 5:28-29). When a person dies, his body is returned to the ground but the soul goes either to "Abraham's bosom,...

What Is Debate (Christian Perspective)?

What Is Debate (Christian Perspective)? By Benson Omole. A Christian debate involves respectful biblical discussions, and arguments about Christian theology, doctrine, and practices. It's usefulness is immeasurable. Benefits: 1. Clarifying beliefs: Debate helps Christian devotees to articulate and understand the scriptural beliefs, and therefore measure the standards of their compliance or non-compliance! 2Tim. 2:15. 2. Understanding different perspectives:  Christian Debate exposes participants to various interpretations viewpoints, and several additions to the gospel of Christ. 2 John 1:9-11 3. Strengthening faith:  Engaging in debates can deepen one's understanding and conviction of the faith in the Way. 2 Cor. 13:5. 4.
